Several stalked barnacles, <i>Vulcanolepas osheai</i>, on the side of a "cool" hydrothermal chimney at the Kilo Moana vent field on the North Eastern Lau Spreading Center. Since these organisms do not move, they extend arm-like appendages out of their shells to catch food. |
